Welcome to Karl´s in Bondarv, Sweden

Karl´s, or the Karl´s farm as it is also called, is situated in Järvsö in Hälsingland. Here you encounter one of the most ancient of all the Hälsingland farms.

Have a seat on the courtyard and enjoy our historic environment with the breathtaking view of the glistening lake Ljusnan and the mountain of Järvsöklack.
Feel the thousand year old history of the farm, where the courtyard was the starting point of every working day. Should you choose to sit in the barn, with it´s rustic milieu, your imagination can recreate the time when the cows in their stalls and the people of the farm shared this home. Take a look out through the ancient handblown glass windows and imagine the blue field of flax that provided the farm with an income. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the café and perhaps have a closer look at our photo exhibition about weddings in the olden days! Or visit our little shop, where a small selection of local unique products are for sale. There are also books with connections to the farm and the local area.

Combine the visit with a guided showing of the historic buildings that Karl´s consist of. In august, the dramatic history of the farm can be experienced through the Karl´s play, a sound- and light show played outside in the evening.
